Education Services
In order to contribute to the mobility of our international staff, Shell has an Education department that supports and advises expatriate employees regarding the education of their children between the age of 3 and 19 years old.
They advise expatriates before, during and after their transfer about educational issues.They also deliver other services, based on the principle of supporting the international mobility of staff. An overview of the services they offer can be found below:
- Advise Shell International staff regarding education of their children between 3 and 19 yrs old.
- Advise and adapt the education policy for expatriate staff within the IMR policy.
- Participate in the management and governance of 13 Shell schools in 3 different continents.
- Manage exception requests within the existing education (IMR) policy.
- Maintain the contract between Shell education department and consultancy contracted to oversee the management of Shell schools (Fieldwork and Stichting Nederlands onderwijs in het Buitenland - SNOB).
- Support HR in the business regarding education issues/advise on quality of education/assist and advise in order to get guaranteed places for the children of Shell expatriates.
- Advise HR Shared Services departments regarding payment of educational costs.
- Maintain contacts and keep data of International schools world-wide and more specifically in The Hague area.

In some of the countries where Shell operates they have their own schools for primary and pre-school education, and on their website you can find information about these Shell schools.
