Outpost Kuala Lumpur

Outpost Kuala Lumpur is an information resource centre providing practical and up-to-date non-contractual information to Shell expatriate families who are moving into or out of Kuala Lumpur (referred to locally as KL).

It is our aim to ease your transfer to a new and unfamiliar location by providing practical information on housing, schools, health care, domestic help and any other concerns you may need answering.

And when relocating again, Outpost KL team can also put you in touch with the local Outpost team at your new location.

We and our families have already gone through what you are about to go through, and so using our experiences we hope to make your move easier and your stay in KL more enjoyable.

 

Key Activities

The core activities Outpost KL provides for the Shell expatriate community in KL are:

•  Information about KL to employees and their families planning to move here

•  Individual and group “Meet & Greet” for new arrivals in order to provide initial support.

•  Organising Social events such as:

   Coffee ‘get togethers'

   Lunches

   Monthly Friday Night Drinks

   Annual Family Day

•  Distribution of our KL Newsletter via email.

•  Distribution of the quarterly Destinations Magazine via office mail.

Inside Guide

The Inside Guide provides comprehensive information to all Shell employees moving to KL. Please contact outpost-kl-cbj@shell.com if you have not already received a copy. The guide contains a more comprehensive list of telephone numbers, websites, addresses etc.
